How the Joke of the Day Works
Each day's joke comes from the full list of 440: 130 dad jokes, 110 puns, 90 corny jokes and 110 one-liners. The date decides which one, so everyone sees the same joke, and none repeats until every joke has had its turn.
The joke of the day for work comes only from the jokes that suit an office or a team chat, so it's safe to paste into a Monday message.
How to Tell a Joke Well
- Learn the punchline word for word. The setup can be loose; the last line can't.
- Keep the setup short. Every extra detail is a chance for people to drift off.
- Pause for a second before the punchline.
- Don't explain it. If it doesn't land, smile and move on. With a groaner, the groan is the laugh.
