How We Pick
Everything on Quiet Five is made or chosen to help you wind down for a few minutes. Here's how each part is made and checked.
Sounds
Recordings are either public domain (CC0) or recorded for this site. Each sound page lists who recorded each sound, where, and its license. White, pink and brown noise are generated live in your browser.
Quotes
Every quote is traced to where it was first printed or said: the book, poem, letter or speech. Quotes that usually carry the wrong name are either cut or shown with their real source.
Jokes and Kind Words
Jokes are written for this site or retold in our own words, and they stay clean. None of them make fun of a group of people.
Coloring Pages
Every page is original line art drawn for this site. There are no characters from films, shows or games.
Guides
Guides give small, practical ideas. When an idea comes from research, the study is named. Nothing on the site is medical advice, and nothing here claims to treat a health condition.
Checks Before Publishing
Every page is checked against these standards before it goes live, and again whenever it's updated. Quotes and studies are checked against their sources each time.
Ads
Ads pay for the site. Advertisers don't choose or review anything published here, and ads never sit over a tool or a game.
